Part-Time Key Holder

Must be available on weekends. 

-A Corporate Store Key Holder is responsible for providing exemplary customer service that is designed to improve the productivity and profitability of the Hallmark Corporate Stores. The Key Holder provides the customer with solutions by working proactively with them. As a member of the store team the Key Holder will serve as a role model
of best practice retail execution. The overall focus is on sales and service at all times. Stocking products and assisting with stockroom duties are
accomplished as needed. The Key Holder will work closely with the Corporate Store Team and reports directly to the Store Manager. The Key Holder will provide direction and supply information to work associates when the Store Manager and/or Assistant Store Manager are not available.


Customer Service    
-Deliver the Hallmark brand promise through enthusiasm, exceptional Customer Service and outstanding store Standards. Successfully execute all aspects of the customer experience and store operations of assigned store including driving sales, personal development, inventory management, loss prevention and store profitability.

-Follows all directives and performs in a consistent manner with regard to sale, profitability, customer service, merchandising, and fiscal aptitude. Shows ability to change on a regular basis and ability to work with a diverse group of people. Receives guidance from the Store Manager and the Assistant Store Manager (as appropriate to the store). Performance can be measured by sales reports, customer satisfaction benchmarks, overall store appearance, fiscal management, and general attitude and approach to assignments.

Selling/Product Knowledge   
-Learns from the new hire orientation and operational training that will enable them to work in a productive and profitable Hallmark Gold Crown store. This position will require a thorough knowledge of Hallmark Gold Crown products, services, systems and store operations. Support Store Managers as they deliver new hire orientation and operations training to new employees.

-Maintains and restocks displays with replacement merchandise on a regular basis. Conducts POSR audits as directed by store management. Performs all housekeeping duties regularly.

Other Responsibilities 
-The Key Holder will have access to store cash and product assets and will be held accountable for the same. Work closely with the Store Manager to understand new policies, operational changes and/or training initiatives. Participate in new technology implementation and training as directed by the Store Manager. The Key Holder will give direction and instruction to work associates in absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. The Key Holder is expected to open and close the store as directed.

-A high school degree is preferred. Experience in retail assignments or other related outside experience. The incumbent have strong verbal selling skills, interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a strong sense of urgency, the ability to adapt to change and the desire and ability to learn the business. Basic qualifications include eligible to work in the United States, must have reliable transportation, must be at least 16 years of age with appropriate work permit as required, and willing to work the day before and after major holidays including evenings and/or weekends. In addition, physical duties involve the ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; climb a ladder, and carry up to 40 pounds; i.e., fixture parts and cartons.

-The Key Holder serves as a role model for best practice retail service and performs a functional execution role in the store. In addition to demonstrating proficiency in interpersonal competencies, the Key Holder must also have a thorough understanding of Hallmark products, systems and store operations.  Is seen as a person of character; easily builds relationships with all kinds of people; enjoys working with others. Understands and is passionate about Hallmark Retail; Is service minded; Is highly skilled in retail functions, learns quickly and adapts to change easily; Is action oriented, full of energy and drives to accomplish goals successfully; Seizes opportunities and pushes self and others for results; Solves problems with ease.
